Amazon Prime Day Tips

Amazon Prime day can feel really overwhelming because there is no advance notice about what’s on sale. You have this vast expanse of Amazon items to buy and no idea what’s a good deal!

Here are a few tips from me, an Amazon junkie!

Build shopping lists.

You have 37 more hours of deals. Take some time now to create a few shopping lists. Christmas items, cleaning supplies, whatever it may be…if you have them in a handy list on Amazon you can check back often over the next day and a half to see if the blue PRIME DAY deal pops up on them.

Take advantage of extra money off.

Last year I got $10 off by making an order on my Alexa–easy! This year you can get additional money off by using Amazon Assistant, reloading $100 on your Amazon gift card balance, or by making an order with the Amazon ap for the first time. If you are going to be spending money on Prime Day anyway, I would do any of these that you can to maximize savings!

Research price history.

For big purchases on Amazon, I use the website Camel Camel Camel to research the price history first. Often times the Prime Day deal isn’t THAT good of a deal when you can see exactly how the item has been priced over the course of the last year

Try Amazon Prime.

Okay I’ve had Prime so long it’s hard for me to imagine not having it! But if you want to take advantage of Amazon Prime Day and you are not a Prime member, sign up for a 30 day free trial here: Try Amazon Prime 30-Day Free Trial .

So what are my favorite deals so far?

I am currently thinking about this cheap two camera baby monitor. We have been through a few from buying one new, being given one, and buying one used and just don’t think they are meant to last forever. So instead of dropping hundreds to get a functioning 2 camera options I may go this route now that it’s more money off an already affordable price and has solid reviews.

Amazon Music Unlimited is usually $7.99 a month but Prime Day is running it at .99 cents for 4 months. I think I have to try it out at that price.

I don’t need one, but it could be good to set back for a gift–the Fire Stick appears to be at it’s lowest price ever right now at only $15 plus you get a Sling TV credit.

A no brainer – buy a $25 gift card and receive a $5 credit. Grab it up as a gift and use your $5 for more Prime Day shopping! You need code: GCPRIME19

Another one I like is $5 off $15 in print books. I always give books as gifts at baby showers or to my own kids at Christmas and birthdays, so why not get $5 off using PRIMEBOOK19.

What deals are you finding?! I’ve love to see in the comments!

I will come back and update with any more deals I am going to use 🙂
