February 2019 Blog Income Report • Mid Century Mom

If you will recall from my January 2019 Blog Income Report, I am writing a few of these after the fact to show you how a little hard work has paid off!

I never dreamed back in January when I earned my first commission from Amazon for under $15 which included the last THREE months, that I would be able to beat that soon after in just one month.

But I kept on blogging and my page sessions went up a little bit, leading to my best Amazon Affiliate month yet! Keep in mind they pay you for the prior month, so while this is February’s income report, it reflects commissions earned in January.

I took a cue from many of my favorite bloggers and decided the easiest way to show income is as it is paid, not as it is earned. This is because tons of programs have minimum payout thresholds. So many months I am earning towards those goals, but I haven’t been paid yet.

Anyway! Drumroll please….for this staggering amount of cash I made while blogging my socks off!

February 2019 Blog Income:

Affiliate income – $16.86

Not too bad! At this point I figured if I could average $10-15 a month or so, that would cover my hosting and domain and then some! Of course I’d been hoping that within a year I might see something more serious…but we all start somewhere.

And we can’t forget about how I did quit for a good 4 months during my first year—not something I recommend when you are trying to build a blog!

What will the next month bring? I can tell you at this point my focus was on growing my Amazon Affiliate clicks and trying to come up with a way to diversify my little side income.

And I want to reiterate on each of my income reports…if you find yourself reading this along with dozens of other (probably more impressive!) income reports every night thinking you may want to try it…
