My $35 value Amazon baby box just came in the mail this weekend and I am really impressed with the contents! I did this about 3 years ago with my last baby, but items were way more sample sized.

Check out this loot:

Of course I opened everything up and here is a breakdown of what we got:

Dipaers and wipes, yes please! A few are Huggies and the cute designs as well as the wipes are Honest. We’ve had a kid (sometimes two) in diapers since January 2015 and that streak is going to continue until early 2023-ish so I will always be happy with free diapers 🙂

You really can’t have too many blankets with a new baby, can you?? I really like this Amazing Baby Muslin Swaddle .

We have used and loved Dr. Brown’s bottles for both boys but this newer option with the green insert is supposed to be anti-colic?! Sweet! It’s nice to get a free bottle to try out since many babies are picky about what bottle they prefer, especially if being transitioned from nursing.

A few samples for baby as well as nursing pads and a really generous sample size of Bio-Oil which is supposed to be great for stretch marks and scars. I’ve been using it and it smells amazing!

I was most excited about this Moon and Back onesie. I have been a long time fan of Hanna Andersson pajamas and wiggle sets. I heard recently they had paired with Amazon for this Moon and Back line. I was definitely eyeing them and now I got a free one! It feels very soft and lightweight.

So, how can you get the baby box shipped to you? Super easy!

The first thing you have to do is create an Amazon Baby Registry . Since this is my third pregnancy I did not have a shower or registry–so don’t worry if you didn’t set up an actual registry for people to shop from.

Because….you can make a registry private. It took me less than 10 minutes to create a simple registry and make sure it was marked private.

In order to qualify for the box you must first get the registry showing 100% complete. There are dozens of categories Amazon will suggest for your registry checklist like electrical safety and play time and feeding. You should be able to simply check a box indicating you already have an item from that category.

If not, just don’t worry about it and thrown something random in from every category. No one is going to be shopping from this private registry, after all.

If you have a real registry, wait until your shower is over and go in and add any categories that were missing to make it show 100% complete. Just be sure to change the setting to private so no one shops for items that you don’t really want/need!

Do be sure to add at least one item that you plan to buy, because the second requirement to get the box is to have at least $10 worth of baby items bought and shipped out of your registry. I simply added the changing pad I already needed and purchased it.

And that’s it! As soon as that item shipped I just went into my registry menu to “offers and benefits” and claimed the Welcome Box. Another huge perk is I am now eligible for the completion discount which will take 15% off any remaining registry items. I don’t need a ton of stuff but whatever I do plan to buy I just added to my registry so I can get the 15% off.

So that’s it–easy baby freebies. Go claim you welcome box now!
