Deere, Party of Five

It’s been three weeks since our newest little love arrived and completed our party of five. I usually feel like this after a new baby but it truly feels like we brought him home yesterday and somehow, at the same time, like he has been with us forever.

My mama brain is not it’s sharpest in these sleepy weeks so I haven’t had a ton of blog content ready to push out lately.

Last night I did attempt a photo shoot with the boys and even the keepers are kind of goofy outtakes so I thought I’d share.

The only way I got the big boys to smile was by making “toot noises.” Boy mom probs! Unfortunately Henry has not yet developed a sense of potty humor so he just screamed the whole time.

I can’t wait to watch these three little men grow and maybe one day (maybe!) all three look at the camera and smile at the same time. It could happen.

And although he doesn’t have a matching pair of jammies or any desire to hop into my photo shoot attempts, I have to mention the other man at home too. I could not even imagine parenting our boys without him.

I caught this shot of Travis and Henry the other night. Of course it was the witching hour. He had discovered exactly what would make the screaming stop–walking around…and around…and around…outside.

It was just a normal night of him being the sweetest dad.

We are so lucky to have him–he is the breakfast maker, bath water runner, baby dream feeder, the one who takes the older boys to the park so they aren’t stuck in the house on the infant’s schedule.

The zoo that is our house these days really would not function well without him. Deere, party of five, is here and we are a bit wild but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
