Last June was the month I just completely quit blogging. There is something about summer time and weekends at the pool or longer evenings in the yard that kept me from it.

This June I was determined to stick with it and I did manage to get a few posts out! We took our summer vacation to Montana (which will get it’s own post soon!) and we wrapped up t-ball already this month and I’m happy I’m still hanging in there on the blog front.

Today I am going to share a fun new thing I’ve tried with the boys that has endless possibilities. We got our own molds to make homemade popsicles!

The great thing about this DIY summer treat is you can use almost anything! Yogurt, ice cream, fruit juice, jello, fruit puree, whatever!

My kids have been loving Aldi’s sugar free lemonade so we simply use lemonade as the base for these Strawberry Lemonade DIY Popsicles.

I make the lemonade a little extra tart so the popsicles are nice and flavorful. Then I slice strawberries thinly and add them in with the lemonade. All that’s left to do then is stick these in the freezer for a few hours!

TIP – you have to run a little warm water over the mold and wiggle it some to remove the popsicle once they are frozen (otherwise the stick may come out leaving the ice in the mold).

The tart lemonade ice makes for a super refreshing cool snack! Plus I do feel great knowing this is sugar free lemonade and some fruit–that beats whatever is in the store bought kind.

Tom is a huge fan of these. Sam admits he likes sugary ones better, ha! I am making mixed berry in the blender next with yogurt…I’m betting Sam loves those!

Even Boudreaux wanted in on this action! But don’t feel too bad for him–we gave him one.

I can’t recommend these little molds enough for a whole summer full of fun (and healthy!) popsicle experiments.

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer! Thanks for reading and if you feel like sharing, here is an image to Pin:
