I think toddlers are so fun to shop for! Most things that entertain a toddler are inexpensive…they may even just go for the boxes on Christmas morning 🙂

Many toddlers may not even have an idea of what they want or they might be laser focused on one thing they know they love. There was a string of 2 years where Tom asked for “more cars” for every occasion. Either way, this means you’ll probably be choosing many of their gifts and not working off a long wish list.

Here is a fail proof gift guide for the toddlers you’re shopping for this year.

1. Echo microphone – late 80’s/early 90’s babies remember these?! You’ve got to love a toy that doesn’t even need batteries to be entertaining.

2. Pots and pans – We have had this Melissa and Doug set for 5 years now and it’s such a staple in the playroom. They are really metal so make that perfect clanging sound every toddler wants to make and they’re basically indestructible.

3. Large dinosaur set – I adore this dinosaur set. They are a really good size and have almost a squishy feel to them, while also being sturdy. Ours actually sit out on the shelf in their room as decor and then they pick them up and play with them whenever they want. They get a lot of play time.

4. Booster – Had to include a practical. Toddlers may love getting a “big kid seat” though. These are super lightweight, the cover comes off to wash, and we use them daily. Also great for travel!

5. Bumper car – This is a higher ticket item but I’m really excited to see my kids enjoy these this year. Adults can control it for younger kids, so the age range is actually 1-6. Great for toddlers!

6. TV remote – What toddler doesn’t love a good TV remote?! This is on the way for Henry this year for Christmas. It has educational perks with numbers in multiple languages.

7. Play food – You can’t go wrong with play food and Melissa and Doug is my go-to. Our bucket of all kinds of play food is probably the most played with item in the playroom right now at ages 5, 4, and 1.

8. Rody horse – This is more of a mid-range price point but such a fun toy. It would look great under the tree Christmas morning. Ours came from a garage sale and has since taken a beating for years of playing rodeo and it’s still going strong.

9. Backpack – Another practical gift but my boys have always loved these little toddler sized bags. They load them up full of toys and books for travel, church, overnight at grandparents house, etc.

10. Play cleaning set – Melissa and Doug are at it again with such a likable toy. This is the best play cleaning set I have found, and we went through a few plastic versions before finding this sturdy set.

11. SmarTrike – I know a little Henry who is getting this from my parents this year 🙂 I’m so excited, he is going to LOVE having something like this to play on alongside the big boys when we are outside riding bikes and scooters.

12. Rainbow stacking toy – I am such a sucker for beautiful wooden toys. These are just as great sitting on the shelf as they are out and being played with.

13. Flopping fish – I cannot wait for Henry to pull this out of his stocking this year! So random and fun–once I saw it I couldn’t pass it up. Unique and most likely a hit with any toddler!

14. Toy shopping cart – Remember all that toy food we have? This is one of Henry’s gifts this year and I can already see him carting the food all over the house. He also loves walker toys and things he can push right now and this is perfect for that stage.

I hope you were inspired by some of these toddler gift ideas–happy shopping everyone!
