May 2019 Blog Income Report
Sharing my blogging income reports may seem like an odd thing to do from month to month. After all, most people don’t walk around broadcasting their income.
If you are immersed in blogging communities then you may know it’s fairly common. I spend wayyyy to much time reading them!
Bloggers tend to share these reports as a way to demonstrate how their blog and their income has grown over time. It’s also a great way to document for yourself.
So I decided recently to start sharing mine, and the month of May will be the 5th month I’ve shared.

A little background on my blog if you are new here–I have actually been blogging since March 2018. Unfortunately I took a pretty large hiatus after only two months and I didn’t get back to it til winter 2018.
Now I’m trying my best to diversify my income and set this blog up as a side hustle! Diversifying my blog income makes it sound as if I have a ton. I do not…which you will shortly see.
BUT I am enjoying this hobby and hope one day that it will grow to be something to contribute to college savings or who knows what. The possibility is exciting!
Here is how things shook out in May. This was my highest income month to date. Moving in the right direction!
May 2019 Income:
Affiliate Income: $26.31
Ad Income: $0 (I do have ad income but I’m not even 1/3 of the way to the $100 payout so not counting yet!)
Sponsored Post: $0
Freelancing: $240
Total: $266.31
I’m happy this is my best month yet, but it definitely doesn’t look very diversified. Unfortunately ad income is super slow going and I have not had another sponsored post opportunity yet.
On the plus side I have found a few additional freelancing opportunities for June! And maybe I’ll snag a great sponsored post partner. (If the Aldi gods are reading this, please pick me!)
