baby Deere’s nursery

Our third and final baby Deere should be making his or her appearance any time now! I wrapped up the nursery (and some insane nesting) over the long weekend and we are officially as ready as we’ll ever be!

About halfway through this summer I decided to stop being so extra on this nursery. The truth is, I didn’t need half of what I thought I did. When I think about how I was ready to spend several hundred dollars between a rug and a lamp alone…I am so glad I stopped myself.

As much fun as Pinterest nurseries are, I think this one landed just where it should have. New and fresh but nothing to break the bank about.

I did spend $100 to have our first crib painted a fun emerald green and bought the cutest sheet and changing pad cover on Etsy.

Don’t look toooo closely at the lamp which I actually spray painted! It’s not perfect but we had an old lamp we weren’t using and it was worth a shot.

The macrame wall hangings were Aldi finds! At only $8.99 each I took two. I had originally planned to make a large yarn hanging myself but I just couldn’t pass these up.

The other art on the wall is a Sam and Tom original. I limited the colors to some that would tie in with the room and let them go to town! Tom is so aggressive with the paint brush, there are several brush hairs smashed onto the canvas….character.

I actually had the canvas and the frame on hand…win!

Moses basket, random western art, lamp, and rug were all in here before. I will spare you the before and afters of when I washed that rug. I soaked it in the bathtub and then brushed it out. It was alarming. But we’re nice and fresh now!

The wall of closets is amazing. I will never get tired of the extra storage all over our mid century home!

One side is filled with all the baby gear we had on hand that I meticulously cleaned up. It was so satisfying taking all the gadgets apart and getting them in the washer!

Gender neutral sleepers are washed and ready and folded in the middle closet/dresser.

Basically…we are ready for you, number three! Can’t wait to blog about his or her arrival 🙂

I love that idea and have wondered that too! It was on my list for a while to dip dye or dip in paint, then I just said okay hanging them up is enough for now haha. But I’m glad someone else sees that may look good…since the walls and macrames are both so neutral. It will hang out on my project list for a while 🙂
